Frederick Walters
Fred spent his childhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Instead of attending school, he would often sneak away to the art museum. After serving in the Marines and trying out a variety of jobs, his divorce led him back to his passion for drawing as a form of personal release. When he met his second wife and moved to New Mexico, his artistic journey took a new turn and his creativity flourished. During this time, Fred worked at Bluefish Clothing company as a studio artist, focusing on hand block printing on clothing. It was during this period that he began experimenting with larger canvases and delved into painting. His incredible output included at least 85 paintings, numerous drawings and sketches, and various mixed media pieces. In addition to his visual art talents, Fred also had a talent for poetry and left behind many written works that showcase his creative spirit.
