Stephen began his career in 1984 in Boston with Peabody & Brown, focusing on securities work in connection with private equity financing. After moving to Golenbock and Barell in New York in 1986 he broadened his practice to include public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters. Thereafter and through June, 2012 Stephen served as counsel and then Senior Counsel to Mitsui & Co. Inc. U.S.A., the US subsidiary of one of Japan’s pre-eminent multi-national corporations. While with Mitsui, he oversaw all legal work related to various divisions, including those with interests in entertainment/new media, energy trading, venture capital and green technology. Since June of 2012 he’s had his own broad based corporate practice which includes the representation of companies of all sizes, from start-up businesses to publicly traded entities. His clients span a multitude of industries, including new media, entertainment, manufacturing, textile, healthcare related and venture capital. Stephen received his BA in 1980 from Brandeis University, in Philosophy and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, in 1984. He is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts.
